It may be used a ligand fluorescence displacement assay of fatty-acid binding protein 5 (FABP5). |
| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | 12-NBD Stearate incorporated in lipid droplets and is used majorly in fluorescence displacement binding studies of fatty-acid binding proteins. The sterol carrier protein-2 (SCP-2) 15-kDa isoform favours NBD Stearate transport. The uptake of NBD Stearate is regulated by fatty acid binding protein (FABP) expression regulates uptake and inhibited by filipin III. |
