Flange with two ground flats opposite each other allows nylon retainers on adapter head to pass over. O-ring in head and flask grooves make a vacuum-tight seal when head is turned 90° in either direction. No grease, springs, or clamp necessary. Adapter heads and O-rings sold separately.
