| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | PKCθ (protein kinase C θ) is required for T cell activation and proliferation. In presence of TCR (T cell receptor) stimulation, it is responsible for activation of NF-AT (nuclear factor of activated T-cells), NF-κB (nuclear factor κ B) and AP1 (adaptor-related protein complex 1). It might be a target for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. PKCθ is needed for fat-mediated insulin resistance in skeletal muscle. |
