A potent, reversible, and selective inhibitor of Cdk1 (IC₅₀ = 5 nM) and Cdk5 (IC₅₀ = 7 nM) and glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK-3β; IC₅₀ = 80 nM). The inhibition is competitive with respect to ATP.
A highly potent, reversible, and selective inhibitor of cyclin-dependent kinases 1 and 5 (IC₅₀ = 5 nM for CDK1; IC₅₀ = 7 nM for CDK5). Reported to act by competing with ATP for binding to the catalytic site of the kinase. Also acts as a potent inhibitor of glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK-3β; IC₅₀ = 80 nM).
