| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | Neuropilin-1 (NRP-1) has been shown to play an important role in vascular and neural functions. Neuropilin 1 (Nrp1) acts as a coreceptor for VEGF receptor 2 (VEGFR2) and increases the binding of VEGF165 to VEGFR2- and VEGF165-mediated chemotaxis. In transgenic mice, Nrp1 is implicated in embryonic vascular development. Elevated expression of the gene leads to the formation of excess capillaries and haemorrhaging. |
